MISSION
The mission of ECAG is to serve as an international fellowship of Christians
who love God by leading others into His love. Our mission is advanced
through a contemporary ministry that is motivated by Christ’s love
in its worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministries, and evangelism.

Our “Mission Statement”
is Biblically based and embodies the principles of the Great Commandment
(Matthew 22:36 – 39) and the Great Commission (Matthew 23:18
– 20). |
VISION
Our ten year vision for ECAG sees the growth
of this congregation reaching 700 people at this location. We envision
our unique ethnic diversity to make us one of the most international houses
of worship in Indianapolis. We expect the spiritual maturity of God’s
people to increase through connecting relationships of 70(+) small groups.
We envision a majority of our adult/young adult members to be involved
in ministries within, or evangelism through, ECAG. We expect to double
our financial support for world evangelism to include 100 missionaries
and/or mission projects. And, we envision the expansion of our facilities
to include a new sanctuary for 600 in worship services and a new ministry
wing to provide for enhanced children’s and youth ministries, as
well as a fellowship hall.
HISTORY
Rev. Gregory Gentry has served as Senior Pastor of Eagle Creek Assembly
of God since July 1, 2002. ECAG began as a new church project on April
21, 1991 when Indiana A/G leaders called upon Rev. Randy Blankenship to
serve as pastor. The Lord blessed the congregation with five acres of
property along Interstate 65, which the Indiana District and other churches
helped to purchase, and the building project soon began.
The first service in the new building was on September 12, 1993. Attendance
grew to 120 people, and specialized ministries for children and youth
were added. In 1995, an expansion of the building included an educational
wing, sanctuary overflow, and kitchen. In 1998, a 100+ seat balcony was
added to the sanctuary.
Additional church acreage, purchased across the street from our facility,
was cleared of a 100 year old home in December, 2003. Renovations of the
main foyer soon followed and other technology and facility upgrades continue
to date. While our hearts are filled with thanksgiving for our past, our
focus is on the future!
