Rev.
Tara D. Gentry
Associate Pastor
tdgentry@eaglecreekag.org
Rev. Tara Gentry serves Eagle Creek A/G as Associate Pastor having
oversight of “Membership and Fellowship.” Tara officially
joined the staff of ECAG in June of 2005. While her primary responsibility
involves the oversight and development of our Freedom Groups, she
also serves as an assistant worship leader, and assists with pastoral
care.
Pastor Tara graduated from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida
with a B. S. in Church Ministry with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry
and Christian Education. At Southeastern, she gained valuable ministry
and leadership experience as a director of the Southeastern Worship
Choir and as a Resident Assistant to upper-class women. Upon graduation,
Pastor Tara moved to Indianapolis where she served in lay leadership
at Eagle Creek Assembly of God through worship and teaching, as well
as launching Remnant, the young adult’s
ministry of ECAG. Prior to her staff position at ECAG, she served
as a staff member with Central Indiana Teen Challenge for nearly two
years where she has served as the student’s high school teacher,
counselor, and drama director.
Her greatest passion is the love of her life, Jesus Christ, and her
heart’s desire is to model a life of character and love for
her Savior. She has found great joy in mentoring young women, leading
worship, preaching, and instilling a passion in others for God, people,
and our world. Pastor Tara’s life theme is echoed in the words
of one of her great heroes of the faith, Jim Elliot: “I seek
not a long life, but a full one like Yours, Lord Jesus. May my life
be an exhibit to the value of knowing God.” |
